Cam might be different though. Through all his rushing yards + rushing TDs the man racks up a lot of fantasy points. I'd say points wise Cam is comparable to some of the top WR picks.

Cam is going to score more points than any WR or RB this season, I agree with you. However, his ADP in almost all ESPN or Yahoo leagues has him as a late 2nd Rd or early 3rd Rd pick. This guy Cory is referring to could have very possibly still picked up Cam with his 2nd Rd pick and taken a tier I WR as well.

Cory, when was the next QB taken in your league, after Cam?

I want y'all's perspective on who you think I should keep for my Keeper League, I have a little over 36 hours to decide.

You can pick up to 4. It's a Non-PPR league, 6 pts for TD, 1 pt per 10 yds Rec/Rush, 1 pt per 25 yds Passing.

The Keeper willl count as the # beside their name for the 2016 draft (i.e. Carson Palmer #13 would count as my 13th Round Pick this year.) I'm not listing the guys I can't keep or I am not even remotely considering.

QB Carson Palmer #13

WR Alshon Jeffery #9
WR Travis Benjamin #14*

RB Todd Gurley #6
RB Jeremy Langford #14*
RB Chanderick West #14 *
RB Jeremy Hill #7

Def SEA #4 (worth 325 pts in my league this year, we score defenses heavy in my league.)
Def CIN #14 (worth 282 pts in my league this year. Defenses are worth as much as a Tier 1 RB or WR.)

* If I keep more than 1 player marked with a * then they will count as my next available round up pick (i.e. if I pick Langford and West, they would count a my 14th and 13th Rd picks.) Palmer would be locked as my 13th Rd pick though, as he was drafted in the 15th Rd this year.

Eh, Mitchell was a flyer on my 2nd to last pick (last pick had to be a kicker). I can always throw him on IR. And yes, my WR corps has been suspect ever since we started the league 4 years ago. That's one reason why I really, really wanted Michael Thomas.

I liked your Keeper picks though, who should I keep on mine that I posted above?

I was 5th out of 14. I picked him up in the first round. If he had been picked up before be I would've gone with a WR instead. He is the only QB I think could be worth picking that early. Not to mention I didn't get my 2nd pick until the #20th spot and I just wasn't sure what QBs would be available for those 15 spots.

As it turns out, my league was pretty patient when it came to QBs. I actually think a little too patient in some cases, but we'll see. Cam wouldn't have been there at 20, but some good QBs would have been.

Like I mentioned earlier. Alshon wasn't going to be my first pick at WR. But the top ones were already gone by the time I got to my 2nd pick. With that said, he is projected to have a good year and it's a contract year so you know he's going to want to show out.

I can see that, especially if you're in a league with guys who have picked QB's early in the past.

With what you have listed id def keep Gurley and Alshon. With the rest, it may be worth keeping both defenses and trading one for another rb/wr.

Is that a possibility? Never played keeper league.

Next QB taken was Wilson in beginning of 4th round. The guy could've had OBJ or Julio & taken Cam w/ his next pick. He ended up taking Benjamin with his 2nd pick.

Technically yes. I could trade a Defense after the draft for another team's player. However, I don't think I'll get someone to trade me a Tier I RB or WR for a Def, even though they score as many or really more points. I also don't want to trade SEA (IF I keep them,) b/c they are a Set It And Forget It Defense, they're really an Auto-Start regardless of matchup.

However, if I keep SEA, it would cost me my 4th Rd Pick, and I picked them as the 1st Defense off the board last year in the 6th Rd. I MAY be able to get in and take them in the 5th or 6th Rd again this year.

As to who you should keep. Def like everybody is saying, keep Gurley & Alshon. All those other players I feel like are interchangeable. I think Palmer has a chance to have a career best season with all those weapons around him. He was my QB last yr & was consistent all year.

Could you post what you would lose for keeping each player? That would help with risk vs reward

hey, I knew I go who took Benjamin in the 1st Rd this year. Your friend must be a Panthers fan as well.

I like the Panthers, but I like winning FFB too, and if the Panthers player isn't the best option at the time of my pick, then I'm going another direction.

I'd definitely keep Gurley.

Jeffrey for a 9th round pick is pretty solid, too. I think he'll have a good season.

Travis Benjamin is going into a situation where he could really thrive because he's damn fast and Rivers can air it out, but it depends on how much of a risk you want to take.

Jeremy Hill is definitely the Bengals RB that you want and in a standard league he'd probably be gone right around the 7th round, maybe a little bit before.

Cinci's D is a better value at 14 than Seattle's (if you ask me), but Seattle is damn good.

So, all in all:
Gurley
Jeffrey
Hill

Those 3 I'd definitely keep.

I am one of those people who will not draft a QB in the first half of the draft because you can find a serviceable QB in late middle rounds for a much better value and the point differential each week will be marginal, for the most part. In other words, I'm not sure what you should do about Palmer.

I'm am idiot. Should have read the whole post. I agree that Cincy at 14 is better value. Like you said, you could end up getting Seattle any way and in a later round.

Look at it this way, you're giving up a later round for Gurley who is a first round guy than you are for Seattle defense.

BTW, if you draft Jamaal Charles and your team name isn't "THE JAMAALOCAUST", then you're doing fantasy football wrong.

So I had my FFB Keeper League Draft tonight.

It's a 10 Team, non-PPR league, 6 pt's TD, 1 pt per 10 yd rec/rush, 1 pt per 25 yd pass, and then defense is scored really heavy, shutouts start at 35 pts and then scale down. (Defenses are worth as as much as a Tier I or II QB.)

I had 4 Keepers I marked with a K below and I also put the Draft Rd I got the pick by the player.

QB - Palmer - 12th K
Prescott - 10th

RB - T. Gurley - 5th K
M ingram - 1st (Best available RB at the time, many guys kept their RB's from last year.)
J Langford - 13th
J Stewart - 4th
D Woodhead - 11th (my league is switing to a .5 PPR next year, 2017.)

WR - Brandon Marshall - 2nd
Jarvis Landry - 3rd
Alshon Jeffery - 9th K
Josh Gordon - 7th
Tajae Sharpe - 14th

TE - Gary Barnidge - 8th

K - D Bailey - 15th

D/ST - SEA 6th (where I drafted them last year, earned me 359 pts last year.)

Spent that high draft pick on Cam, Stafford is projected to earn more because Cam is going against Denver's D.

Doing 1 League with friends & coworkers from school district.

Standard scoring 10 team league, my lineup for Week 1:

QB - Drew Brees
RB - DeMarco Murray & Todd Gurley (would have Jamaal Charles but he's out Week 1)
WR - Jordy Nelson & Brandon Cooks
TE - Gary Barnidge
Flex - John Brown
K - Dan Bailey
Def - Rams

Bench:
QB - Philip Rivers
RB - Jamaal Charles
RB - Danny Woodhead
RB - Spencer Ware
TE - Antonio Gates
WR - Larry Fitzgerald

Feel pretty good about my team
