Interesting. The odds makers must think our defense is good enough to handle the Gator offense. Since Florida has one of the best defenses in the nation, I'm expecting a low scoring game. FG's/special teams might well be the difference in the game which does not bode well for our Dawgs. Regardless, here's hoping our offense can put together some wrinkles with 2 weeks to prepare that will be the difference in the game. Goooooo Dawgs!!

Rodrigo - 60 yarder FTW.

You know....he has the ability. The thing is he has had no confidence at all. I am hoping last week gave him some. If it did, we may have our kicking problems behind us.
Yes. I am serious.

Damn, that might well trigger a spontaneous orgasm.

Should have let him kick that ball. Rigo's confidence is much higher right now. Ham is done

I forget; how long would that FG have been? We were on Vandy's 41 yard line. Add about 17 yards and it would have been about a 58 yard FG?

We got this shite. The team will feel my presence and dominate

I think that's correct. I didn't mind throwing the hail mary since we appeared to have them unprepared, but prior to the time outs being called I was looking forward to seeing Blankenship try the long one.

I agree. I think that Rodrigo, at that point was a higher percentage play than throwing a Hail Mary pass.
Had Rodrigo made that kick it would have gotten his confidence going.
That said...if the Hail Mary pass had connected, we wouldn't be talking about this. Kirby would be the smartest man on earth!

Just looked it up. We were on the 37 yard line. That would have made it a 54 yard field goal. Your point is valid, no doubt. A VERY long kick for a kicker who has struggled all year...or for that matter, it's a long kick for a kicker who has been very good.
He has the leg, though, and he kicked 45 yarder easily earlier in the game. I just think if he had kicked it and made it, it would have really helped his confidence and maybe solved the kicking problems for a couple of years.
Its all speculation, though. I can't blame Smart for not wanting to try it. It's easy for me to say he should have let Blankenship kick it after I know we had a failed Hail Mary. If we had completed the Hail Mary this wouldn't even be talked about.

It was UF -2 at kickoff last year. If I bet on Georgia games, that was as easy as it gets. I'm not sure how it plays out this time. Bauta being an utter disaster at QB definitely helped Florida. Eason is better.
Whatever happens, I'll be there (my first WLOCP!) and I'll be drunk as shite all weekend.
