From a talent prospective our TE group is loaded...

There may not be a whole lot of experience but from a talent prospective our TE group is loaded. Any projections or rumors anyone had heard on how these guys are going to or going to not get used? My guess is that Jordan Davis is a non-factor and Jackson Harris does some blocking because he is kind of a throwback style TE that isn't an athletic freak like some of our other guys. Blazevich, Natua, and Woerner are all guys that are just too big for a DB and too fast for a LB. Any ideas?

Woerner is a WR until moved to TE in my mind

Blaze and Jackson start and Nauta likely gets used in the same way we will use woerner as a mismatch against some poor sap

Harris is a lot more athletic than you think though. He can go get it

All of the recent reports have Woerner at close to 250 pounds. I don't see how he could be a WR. If he doesn't end out at TE he would have to play defense right? All of our TE's except for Davis are 245+ I believe.

Same here. They will use him as a big WR type.

Depends on his build. How many 250LB QBs have you seen? They are there, though because of their build and weight distribution on their bodies. (Depends on Woerner's speed, too)

I guess he could be a Kelvin Benjamin/Mike Evans type.

Had a buddy that worked for the team for about 6 years and just left a few months ago. He said Jackson Harris might be the best TE we had (this was before nauta obviously).
Apparently JH is the real deal.

Excited to see him with a year of polish. he had some moments last year, for sure.

I think you are underestimating Jordan Davis. He seems to be the faster guy out of the bunch at TE. Also I think it is too much to expect a true freshman to come in an start or get a lot of PT at TE. Sure they may play some, but Blaze, Davis and Harris should get most of it, unless IN or CW prove to be very legit.

I think Chaney is going to have a field day with our depth at TE, no matter who starts a given game. That's one of the many things I look forward to seeing return to Georgia football.

Harris has great hands..guy catches most everything thrown to him. I think Nauta might have a shot at early time seeing as he is a very physical blocker. Which is big for our running game.

Given the depth at TE and Woerner ability to be a utility player I hope we keep him at WR and create some mismatches for him. I just really like this kids attitude and don't want to see him get lost in the TE group. We need help at WR let him try his hand there first

I don't think Jackson Harris gets enough credit for how good he is, I really like the kid. Big body, moves relatively well, soft hands, good blocker. I almost feel like part of the reason Jeb caught so few passes last year was due to Jackson Harris seeing more playing time than we thought he would see. He's good though, reminds me more of a TE than Jeb does, meaning I think his skills and body type will transition better to the NFL at the TE position, not that it means anything to his time at UGA

I've heard the same that Harris is our best guy. I for one am relieved that Jay Rome is gone and won't be splitting time with the other TEs...guy never lived up to the hype and was a disappointment

I'm excited about all 4 of them. I think Natua has the most upside, but all of them are a good size, and I think(I hope) that Chaney will utilize the talent that is there.

The TE corps definitely has the opportunity to make up for any current holes in the WR, if Chaney's as clever as some have said.

I like Harris to start, honestly. He can stay in-line and block with the big boys plus he is no slouch of a recieving TE either.
Blaze will get plenty of reps. I'd like to see him and Nauta at that slot/Y position to get in mismatches with Linebackers. Woerner fits that mold too, but I think he can make it work outside as well. All of those guys can really run routes and both give you a big guy that can block in space if we wanted to run screens to the outside/tosses/stretch plays.
Really hoping Chaney utilizes all of these guys. As limited as we are at WR, we have some horses at TE obviously. It was criminal how they were overlooked so badly last year.
