Any LSU fans remember Tim Pope the linebacker in the early 2000s

I got summoned to jury duty years ago and ended up being a juror on his case. Pretty sure the guy is in prison now but the guy was huge.
Guy could be in the NFL right now but chose to be a thug.

I remember hearing he got arrested for either murder or crack IIRC

He was physically imposing, like bigger than a normal human being,
haha well in this case he just punched some indian motel owner and stole his watch.
His defense was that the iron in the room did not work

I remember watching him sign autographs for fans in the stands behind the LSU bench, during the game

He was supposed to be a great player. I was a student at LSU when he was there. I heard that he was a very fast, athletic LBer. He was also former FSU LBer Kendall Pope's cousin.

I don't think he ever made it to the start of the season for LSU. Heard he was some bad arse tough mo-fo and I was really pumped up about having him on the team. Like a man among boys at practices was the word at the time. Had the physical attributes for greatness, but couldn't get the hood out his system.

I think he only participated in a handful of plays. Don't remember why he left school. He would have been a great one, super talent.
