I think the Owls will be heard from again in years to come.

Why are they named the Owls? Just wondering

What's it been since a team from Ga last made the CWS? Eight Years? Unbelievable with all the talent and youth baseball in this state.
Congrats to the Owls though...

I attended Kennesaw back when it was a junior college so I was glad to see them do well. However, it begs the question of how a small school like Kennesaw can put together apparently the best baseball team in the state.

Not so fast my friend...what are they up to now? 22K in undergrad enrollment? They've also invested pretty heavy in their facilities and are located in talent rich East Cobb.I'd say they've surpassed Georgia Southern as the 3rd best baseball school in the state.

Wow, they've come a long way since the 70's.

mmm...OK. It was probably 1/6 that size in 70's if that...I do know they've surpassed Tech and Ga Southern in undergrad enrollment numbers.
So you do know that's pretty big, correct?

He clearly acknowledged that

Who do you consider to be #1 and #2?

Try 1/12 of that size.

In terms of potential I'd put UGA and GT in that category...

....yea. He was laughing at how much the school has grown since he was there. Which is insane considering when he was there it was about 2,200 people.

You're a good poster. You may have a negaspin on a lot of things, but unlike a true NegaDawg you tend to find some positives. We need sane people like you around here

Exactly. I was only at Kennesaw Junior College about a year and a half before transferring to UGA. I really haven't kept up with Kennesaw at all but I'm not shocked since the entire North side of Atlanta has been a super high growth area. I actually graduated from Milton HS in Alpharetta and have not lived in that area since the early 70's. I was amazed to see all the industry that has grown up in the area when I was checking it out on google map recently. And yes, I'm old as dirt.

I just try to remain objective. I love my dawgs but I have to call'em like I see'em. I still think CMR is the best football coach we've had in spite of the lack of a NC. I do get disgruntled at the ongoing poaching of top players in our state and the fact that we seem to get so many bad apples. But then we had our share of controversial players back in the Dooley years so it's not like anything has changed; just more of them now apparently due to cultural change.
