Curious if there's a Market Square type district in the area? I'm trying to find some authentic Margaritas or a good brewery to enjoy for a few hours
Any insight would be helpful. TIA

I think Kennesaw is a decent distance from Atlanta if you are planning a rush hour trip. And by rush hour, I mean 4 to 7.
Sweetwater Brewery is open from 5:30 to 7:30.
Atlantic Station is pretty straightforward and easy to roam around (although not a favorite of locals...but I enjoy it).
Midtown and Virginia Highlands have the bigger bar scenes. Maybe something like Park Tavern, Tin Lizzy's, or the Prickly Pear in Midtown.
Possibly Six Feet Under next to Oakland Cemetery. A rooftop bar overlooking an old cemetery. Go check out Bobby Jones's grave.
I think there is stuff in places like downtown Marietta, but I've never been. Marietta might be more convenient coming from Kennesaw.
I admit I haven't gone out a lot since I've lived here. So some of these might be terrible suggestions.

Thanks for the info. We're staying in Kennesaw for the night then heading to Atlanta tomorrow morning. Primarily looking for something decent with good Margaritas in the area

Well, I'm not sure if that means you have some time to kill. But if it was me, I'd run to the Zoo for some tourist action, then go a block down the road to the rooftop bar at Six Feet Under near Oakland Cemetery, and maybe walk around there. That keeps you outside on a nice day.
But I'm a weird person who likes zoos, rooftop bars, and old cemeteries.
As a separate suggestion, combine Piedmont park and the Nook and get a fishbowl...or margarita.
All the other places I listed are filled with restaurants/bars where you can grab margaritas.
edit: I don't know crap in Kennesaw. But it's a decently sized suburb.

Sorry, it's late. But Taco Mac on Chastain is a pretty good place to get a drink. Electric Cowboy (no homo) is a pretty good place to meet and hook up with some strange.
Elevation is a neat little restaurant and bar by the Kennesaw Airport.

No worries, we ended up at Los Reyes right off the interstate. Cool atmosphere, garbage margaritas
