12 wins with 13 games to go, plus the SEC tourney. Obviously, you can win the tournament and get the automatic bid, but assuming that's not the case, how many wins do you feel you need to get to in order to feel comfortable about getting into the tourney? I guess I ask because Mizzou is probably looking at the same situation, which could make that match up later in the year at Rupp important.

We are going to the NIT. This team isn't good enough.

Any thoughts on what it will take to squeak in or just too early to say still?

12+ SEC wins. They will probably get there.

If we're close, we'll make it. They've got a load of Tyus Edney and Norfolk State stuff to show during the game.

Split with Florida and beat Ole Miss and Mizzou for sure. If not, we probably have to win the SEC tourney.

They are not beating FL this year, unless we get a few injuries. No way we have such meltdown to an inferior team.

So you consider Kansas State a superior team?

They're going to have to make a pretty strong run from here on out and I don't know that they have it in them at this point.

I think you're in at this point and in a better situation. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I thought after the Auburn game that they were coming around, last night was a setback for sure. I think it's possible now they don't get an NCAA bid...unless they figure things out and go on a run.

I've been thinking this morning that it might be better to just not make the tournament and Cal can use it to get the undivided attention of next year's recruiting class. Also I'm not looking forward to being matched up with Indiana or Minnesota in the second round and being embarrassed.

I think as things stand right now, we're on the inside looking out but things can change pretty fast and the way Mizzou has been playing as of late makes anything possible. I could see them beating a Florida but losing to Auburn and A&M. Who knows. I can see that match up at Rupp being pretty important for both teams though.
