My son is a criminal attorney in Atlanta. I wasnt kidding about the 20 years. Depending on what county he got busted in he could be in the county jail for months before he sees a judge at trial. Metro ATL especially. Cobb, Dekalb, Fulton, all have long lines to process. Baw better look good in orange. He gon be in it for the foreseeable future.

And it goes without sayin... "Prepare thy anus"

Not a busy county. Fwiw, I couldn't care less what he gets. I'm just looking for some knowledge to spread for people concerned.

Not sure, here is what we know.

He either sold coke to an undercover or someone narced on him. ( What his inner circle of friends is saying)

In the investigation they searched his house and found 40 lbs of pot, large amount of edibles, Shatter/wax/dabs , pills(oxycondone and guessing adderall), "cocaine instruments", 3 AR15s and two handguns

As was said in Office Space...

He is going to pound me in the arse Federal prison!!!

Where exactly did you find these numbers? Would you be surprised if I said you are very wrong?

I looked at a law book that's a few years old but it looks like the possession of schedule I or II controlled substance carries a punishment of 5 to 30. The possession of a firearm during a felony carries a 5 year sentence that is ran consecutive to any other charges.
It would also depend on his record. If he is a convicted felon, he could be exposed to the max time, and would have a lot of probation once he gets released. If he has three prior felony convictions, he will get a heavy sentence and time to serve would be without parole.

How much money does his family have? That always helps in these situations.

The dabs alone will get him put away for awhile. I knew a guy who got 4 years for it

The reason this happens some of the time is because they need some more info he's got, some of those charges will be pled out, if he has even a decent lawyer a few will get dropped, if none do then he's looking at serving at least 20 w/o parole till then. The 10/serving 5 is usually with some kind of plea deal.

Have you spoken with him about how he attained and if he's willing to give anyone up...that's the only way he's getting that kind of a deal with all those charges.
