Wtf is a landshark even supposed to be? This is some of the most shameless and spineless chicanery to come out of the state of Mississippi in quite a while...and that's saying something.
If they are too timid to reinstall Colonel Reb, which was a great mascot, then they should have just stuck with the black bear. Landshark is like some c-league arena football team.

Well, Jimmy Buffet is from Mississippi (Pascagoula)...but he is a graduate of Southern Miss. So, I'm guessing he wouldn't repudiate Ole Miss but he wouldn't have loyalty to it, either.
