USC can't run the ball this year.

beating missouri in anything isn't a measuring stick - you're confused in your head about the intent of my post.
my words were to point out his statement of "USC can't run the ball this year" as an absolute is a lie - Carolina did it against his shitty team. otherwise, USC would have had little or no rushing yards the other night.

You think USC ran the ball well against a terrible defense at 4 ypc?
Through 2 games you're averaging 3.3 ypc, those are the stats.

I am disappointed that nobody has pointed out that it's 'Kool Aid'...not 'Cool Aid'.

Will UK's starting center be back for this game?

and you managed barely 350 yards of total offense.
Let's remember, you lose a full possession's worth of yards when you get a kickoff return. That takes off a chunk of yardage and plays from your total. It also adds plays and yardage to the opponent.

Um you also got a fumbled punt return which adds a possession and 2 interceptions which add to your offensive numbers. You can nitpick those stats all you want.

I usually don't feel good about the Kentucky game, but I think SC wins big this year. It's the first home game of the season, at night, and we've lost three straight to UK, which the team is fully aware of.

And we have some big time recruits that are gonna be in the house...our guys know what that means.

Other than UGA, who looks like they might be better than USC in the East?

If the same Kentucky offense shows up this weekend that showed up the first 2 games, USC should win easily.

The main issue that I have with using Total Offense as a yardstick for offensive success is that it doesn't use a frame of reference to the sole metric that determines the winner and loser: points.
Even if we throw out Deebo's KOR, we scored 24 points gained off of 359 yards. That means to put up 7 points we had to gain 105 yards of total offense.
Compare that to 13 points on 423 yards. Just to get 7 points with that efficiency, you had to crank out 225 yards of offense. Yes turnovers led to the disparity being that big, very true. But when it is that big, even moreso than intangible benefits like momentum etc., it limits how much risk you have to take to hold on to a lead and by association, the number of yards needed to secure victory.
