Here is my take.

I hope the offense was holding back some playcalling, because it looked very bland. It seemed our only plays were the wildcat up the middle, Johnson to Conrad (I did like that), or Johnson throwing deep into double coverage.

Defense played pretty well overall, but got tired midway thru the 3rd quarter, and if the offense doesn't figure out how to march down the field, we will lose some games we shouldn't because our D will be gassed in the 4th quarter.

Special teams was the bright spot. Seemed to have good punting coverage and McGinnis made his FG.

Overall, I'm happy, a win is a win. However, after the EKU game, things get real, and if we are going to be a contender in the East, our offense has to get better in a hurry.

We need more variety in play calling, more screens, more plays to the outside. Again, I hope Gran was holding back for the USC game, but I guess we will tell soon enough.

I had hoped they would be better than what I saw on offense and defense.

What's your impression?

Survive and Advance

I have a sneaky feeling Florida will have their players sorted out by the UK game and they will be looking to prove something.

Cocks look better than many imagined and that game is on the road.

Next several weeks I just want to see steady improvements and some wins.

After Florida we will see.

Another comment. This might not be fair, but we seemed to have a lot of injuries, and cramping. Should this cause us to question our conditioning program?
