The University of Tennessee’s historic Neyland Stadium is set for a major improvement project.
Construction of the Populous-designed renovation will occur in three phases.
Phase one, which carries a $106 million cost, will address safety, functionality, and fan comfort. Narrow, dark corridors will be replaced with new concourses, featuring more restrooms and concession stands. Seating in the west lower bowl, which dates back to 1921, will be replaced with chairback seating with access to in-seat service.
Two new club opportunities will also be introduced during phase one. A South Field membership club will be located at field level, offering 1,350 patrons with premium food and beverage, private restrooms, and viewing platforms instead of seats in the bowl.
A West Field club will have many of the same amenities, but with lounge-style suite offerings. Additional phase-one upgrades, which are scheduled for completion by August 2019, include Wi-Fi improvement, utility upgrades, and the addition of a new kitchen and commissary space.
Phase two of the project will focus on premium spaces for recruits, improving parking and entrance experiences, the addition of 15 open-air suites on the stadium’s southwest side, and standing-room-only viewing patios.
The third and final phase will install two new video boards, address any necessary Wi-Fi improvements, and give the architecture a consistent appearance throughout the stadium.

That is a great looking park, SC.
I still think ours may top it. Does yours have suites or club areas?

The $13 million project, part of the $200 million Forward Together campaign, will include a new baseball performance center, a field level club, additional box seating, a rooftop plaza down the first base line and an expansion/realignment of the left field terrace.
The entire project is expected to be completely finished by the start of the 2018 season.
The performance center will feature an all-new clubhouse, training room, weight room and players’ lounge to provide baseball student-athletes everything they need in one location. The new performance center will also house a team meeting room, indoor hitting cages and the indoor pitching tunnel. The field level club and rooftop plaza will give fans unique views on gamedays, while the additional box seating will increase the stadium’s overall capacity.

What do you mean it's early? Offseason threads have been going on since January. How else would you classify all those kilo threads about Kentucky?
I don't equate troll threads with true offseason threads. Troll threads can happen anytime of year.

Many of these football stadiums seem to be missing crowd control fencing on the field. Is this a mistake?

State's ballpark looks like it's going to be the real deal. Probably the best in the country. Half of the fan base are upset about LFL but if the upgrade brings in the top talent and championships then I'm in.

Most of them don't have 360 degrees of field level seating around their stadium either.

A new and very large video board has been installed at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center
Here's what the old one looked like:

College baseball Mecca. That park and Cannizaro are going to bring in the top recruits and everything else will fall in place. I like the direction that we are heading.

It's a great time to be a Mississippi State fan, for sure. That said, LSU will respond with improvements. The new Weight rooms for both baseball and softball will be announced soon.
And I think The Box is overdue for adding more suites. The 27 suites have long been filled, and the waiting list hasn't moved in five years or so.

Its a cycle. In 20 years, that stadium will be rundown.
