Alabama receiver Robert Foster was injured and required stitches after an automobile accident on Saturday. The Crimson Tide wide receiver took to social media to say he was riding his dirt bike when he got hit by a car. Foster, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound senior receiver, posted pictures and a message on Facebook. He said he received 27 stitches in his back and two in his wrist, but that didn't dampen the receiver's spirits. "It's my year," Foster said in a video on Facebook. "I'm not giving up on nothing."

This poor kid's mom must have slapped an old gypsy woman while pregnant with him.

Sounds like he was riding a dirt bike on the street.

sounds like he's not making the kinds of smart choices he needs to maximize the opportunity staring him in the face

An Auburn fan probably hit him.

Those bastards are trying to take out one of our best receivers before the season starts.

Don't drive a dirt bike on the road and you would be amazed at how that lowers the chances of getting hit by a car

I think it was in the Mal Moore athletic facility parking lot, not on the highway

This LINK / says that's where it took place

Your not supposed to drive around a parking lot with them either. Trust me, I know. Got in trouble when I was 12 for it cops don't like it, and they like it even less when you run

More than once. I finally got caught when one of my friends was on a four wheeler and stopped for the cop. I got away, but my friend squealed on me.

To be fair, the story simply says dirt bike. It could have been a street legal enduro. Lots of my friends rode those when I was in high school.

Of course, that was over 30 years ago......

The picture of the windshield he went thru tells me somebody was going wayyyyy too fast to be in a parking lot.

Any time there's a story in the news featuring an athlete and a car, it's never good.

This is Foster's last chance. I'm not gonna hate on the guy for riding a dirt bike, but certainly that's not the smartest thing to be doing with fall camp right around the corner of your senior year. Some NFL teams even work stuff like that into contracts because it's simply an unnecessary risk. Hope he recovers quickly, I think he has a chance to be a pretty special #2 WR for us this year and earn himself a spot in the NFL draft.
