What are the negatives of the NCAA changing draft rules for Football and Basketball.

Why not just give it the same treatment as NCAA baseball?
If a guy gets drafted and wants to go fine, if he feels like he can be higher next year he can turn it down and return to school.
I don't see an issue with this.

One negative is that the NCAA has no say whatsoever in how professional leagues determine draft eligibility.

I get it, but to a lot of people it's the big three and some get pissed when baseball isn't given the same respect.

These draft rules aren't from the NCAA. They are collectively bargained which opens up a whole other can of worms

Makes sense.
Basketball is the worst. Guys leave early, don't get drafted and end up in Israel or some shite. It's only two rounds, I'd like to see some wiggle room for these guys to return.

Most don't. But as said, it's a pro rule anyway and the NCAA isn't going to turn those players away (or connections with those pro leagues) by creating a rule of their own.
Of course for baseball you have a well established developmental league for those guys that go ahead and decide to go so that makes a difference.
In a perfect world, a kid should be able to make the most informed decision possible about whether to stay in school or to go pro. At the very least, allow them to see where they will be drafted before deciding to leave. But that would require coordination between the NCAA and NFL/NBA when it comes to amateur rules.

I have a friend whos son signed with UC Fullerton in HS. He was drafted out of HS and he had an agent on contingency if he decided to pull the trigger.
According to my friend this practice is completely acceptable.
Why not allow it in the other two?

These are the two money making sports for NCAA. All of the higher up salaries are based on these remaining profitable. Despite what us "fans" may want, these (5-star, uber talented ones) are young adults that are getting taken advantage by mandating college. They should be able to make their own choice and the NFL/NBA should be legally barred from arbitrary age restrictions.

Sure but NCAA decides when a player ends their eligibility/ amateur status.
The NFL or NBA couldn't stop the NCAA from letting drafted players with no agents from going back to school
