Guy was pretty damn impressive. GREAT arm and hell of an athlete.

I liked Lowary just as much. The offense continues to surprise, the defense continues to underwhelm. It won't take us to Atlanta

Thought the one defense looked pretty good actually.
Especially missing our best two DL. Howard and Brandon stepped up. Prewett was all over the place. Looks like he has a real good chance to win that nickel spot.
Couple long TD passes, but both against the 2/3 defense
But no, I don't see us in Atlanta either.

I like him, too. I hope our starting QB lineage will go
1.) Lock (17-18)
2.) Wilson (18-19)
3.) Powell (20-21)
4.) Foster (22)
I really like Wilson's competitiveness and confidence. He seems like a guy who can command respect in the huddle.

Didn't know much about him, if anything, before catching the tail end of the game.
Is he a Mauk type but bigger with hopefully superior accuracy?

He's a lot bigger than Mauk and has a stronger arm.
He made one play where he was flushed from the pocket and threw a perfect seed to the sideline. It was impressive.
You never really know until you get a guy in a game, but from a pure talent standpoint he's everything you would want.
Looked accurate in his midrange game too. Needs some work on his deep ball. Overthrew Wingo a couple of times.

The QBs know they are throwing into Cover 2 every play. The advantage is clearly in the offense's favor.

i agree with your post that the front 7 was getting pushed around

After the first series for the #1 D, they forced 3 and outs the rest of the way. The two deep up front is going to be completely different in August.

I really liked the long TD pass to Hall right over 2 DB's. Nice accurate pass there.

Long and accurate. He threw one just like it to the right sideline the play before but Holmes wrestled it away (which was also a good play).

Didnt get to watch. So, what would you say were the best players/units.

haven't watched the whole thing yet but I've watched more of it. compared to last year we are better in a number of ways
we have real depth at QB, RB, and OL. weird.
Moore could be a star this year.
Johnson looks as fast as Maclin.
Mason is good at getting open
Johnson and Mason are still dropping the ball. Catching the ball would seem to be important if you are a receiver.
The DL looks decent, especially with the injuries. Prewett looks good at LB. The safeties are better. Not sold on CB and we are gonna step back from Penton

LB could be an issue. CB could as well, but I do like Acy and Holmes.

I remember Maty Mauk being the GOAT at one time.

Like I said, you never really know until a guy gets in a real game but Wilson is a lot more physically gifted than Mauk IMO.
Hopefully he's better at playing the position as well.

I'm certainly not wishing the kid bad luck, hell I hope he's the next GOAT

Both sides of the ball were vanilla. Prewitt said he laughed when he looked at the plays on his wristband. Can't take much of anything from this game.
