East :Mizzou after finishing last in the East last year they come back with a solid recruiting class and it sort of doesn't get much worse than last year
Also Georgia landed some big time recruits the East might not be as week as recent history has made it seem to be
West :Mississippi State ,with a new DC the bulldog defense will be much improved and with a justified dual threat QB in Nick Fitzgerald I think they will surprise some people
LSU,has the chance to do big things with a great offense and defensive coordinator but i cant really get hype becasue we have all gotten our hopes before so only time will tell with the Tigers (after the bama game )

Wouldn't say biggest turn around, I look for Georgia and LSU to become legit playoff contenders. Georgia has a favorable schedule and a widening talent Gap...their biggest concern is their OL. LSU'S Canada is a nice addition that should bring creativity and deception to their offense which makes them dangerous. I really want to see how LSU defense responds if the offense open it up. A high power offense can easily put a game away but also leave a defense vulnerable to more plays over the course season. Aranda is a great coach but he has benefited from more conservative offense last year. Please LSU posters don't take this a back handed compliment. Even the best defenses tire and give up uncharacteristic big plays and points no matter how good semantically and talented they are.

U said nothing wrong there it does hurt defenses to have fast paced wide open offenses.... they naturally are on the field more. One thing I will say though is from what I've seen Canada doesn't run a wide open uptempo offense. His style more mythotical with lots of pre snap movements. I'm no analyst so take that with a grain of salt. I also can't see Etling being the QB in a big play offense.

I agree as an LSU fan the way our season will go usually shows in the Bama game we havent went to the big game since we beat bama in 2011 every year we lose its another bowl at 12:00 in the morning that no one actually cares about

Not concerned about the O as long as we are healthy. The D and ST have my attention. There has to be improvement in those groups. With the easy schedule, we should be bowling. If not, Odom's behind gets hot. The super important 2018 recruiting class is looking for wins.

Not arguing any other points but 48th ahead of only Vandy is a solid recruiting class? FWIW, the average ranking for the SEC is 20th.

East - Missouri has, by far, the lowest bar. 8 wins and they've doubled their total from 2016.
West - Ole Miss may win 8 games.
