Alabama's All-Time Rankings Climb (From 1892 to 2010)

All of the bitching over SEC basketball all-time rankings on the Rant got me thinking about our rise to the #1 CFB program of all time.

I went to CFBDataWarehouse.com and used their rankings to show our rise from bottom feeder (1892) to king of the mountain (2010).

Here goes:

1869-1900 - Not ranked
1869-1910 - Not ranked
1869-1920 - #125
1869-1930 - #32
1869-1940 - #12
1869-1950 - #9
1869-1960 - #7
1869-1970 - #2
1869-1980 - #1
1869-1990 - #2
1869-2000 - #2
1869-2010 - #1

They also have the best team by time periods (5 years, 10 years, 15 etc.).

Best 5 Years: - 1. 1961-1965 Alabama
Best 10 Years: - 5. 1971-1980 Alabama
Best 15 Years: - 2. 1961-1975 Alabama
Best 20 Years: - Numbers 1 through 6 are Alabama teams
Best 25 Years: - Numbers 1 through 10 are Alabama teams
