Seriously, WTF is that? I mean, coaching clinics are mostly whatever, but only 1 college coach and it's the new coach at UTC who was at a D3 school before?
What the hell is he doing? It is clearly on purpose, because he could get 2 washed up NFL coaches and mid-level NCAA coaches if he wanted.

I sort of get having high school coaches from powerhouse programs as a recruiting tool. I mean that's all that I can come up with for doing it that way...

Yea, I agree, that part made sense if it was coupled with a few older coaches as well - who knows frickin Marty Schottenheimer, Jim Fassel, Rick Neuheisal, random names like that.
You want coaches to want to come to this thing. Why the hell would they come to see almost exclusively other high school coaches talk?
It's pretty frickin weird.

I had a friend that went to one when Kiffin, Coach O and Sunseri were at Tennessee. Said that after the official clinic hours, all of the Tennessee position coaches broke out separately in the football complex with whoever wanted to stick around, broke down film and drank beer.

I would bet it is because Butch is very thin skinned and insecure so he does not want to surround himself with coaches more successful than he is.
