Figured we could talk here about it w/o going to the ODB for it. If not just delete it.

We went out yesterday and ran some short legged beagles on some rabbits up here in Whitmire and killed 9 only 7 pictured one went with a guy who left early and the dogs got one before get to it.

Unfortunately, I have no pictures to post. Our herd has vanquished it seems. I've seen 12 deer over the past two seasons. There were days in the past, not more than 10 years ago, that we'd see that many in a day.

Hopefully I can post a pic of me holding a big money check at some point this year. 3D archery season is kicking in and I'm ready to kill rubber animals.

Newberry County is the best rabbit hunting in the state.

I've rabbit hunted from Whitmire to Black's Bridge.

So what are y'all doing with the bunnies? Bunny stew or fried bunny?

That's one wild animal I haven't had yet.

I've had several people tell me my grandmother could make the best rabbit stew. But growing up the population was terrible so we never tried to hunt them.

Fried rabbit for breakfast during turkey season...and what we don't keep we give to those who need food in the community. A lot like deer season. You know how Whitmire is

Make your way up to southern Spartanburg Co. I got so many damn rabbits in my area it's not even funny anymore.

We hunt the land from the railroad by the golf course all the way to behind old carver school to the Lake piece of land. Across the river from Peach Beach.

Any of y'all do any red fishing in the lady's island area? I have done some HHI south. Used to have an RV there but now that's gone. Parents have moved to Dataw and would like to take dad out late next fall. Want to stay in the skinny water. Dads in his late 70s and We have a 15' river hawk w a 20hp yammy so we are limited. I have been to Machete point but not launched yet. Any pointers would be appreciated cause I don't get up there often.
