Starting center? That has to hurt a little.

He tweeted it tonight and it's up on 247.

Because the Freshman Center TJ McCoy took over after injury and looked damn good.

He was unlikely to be the starter next year, but it would have been nice depth-wise.

Because a better player TJ McCoy took his starting job.

Its not a knock against Dillard. Hes played very well as a Gator.

But its really obvious McCoy as a freshman is more talented and his play showed it.

Granted McCoy is rising in talent and played well, but we need depth.

I take it he didn't want to learn a new position to get more playing time.

Dillard is solid though. This is not good for depth. That's now 2 starters gone.

Mark Richt has lost control of UF's offensive line.

Doom on you Richt!!!!

People are saying Heggie is coming on as the backup. So maybe addition by subtraction here.

Dont be alarmed Rant and feel sorry for us...Dillard was out injured half the season and the fricking title of this thread is misleading as hell...OP should be ashamed

TJ McCoy ( legacy..his dad was a Gator DT ) was a true frosh and has hardly missed a beat...we also have a great OG in Jordan who played center also but moved to OG after being hurt himself. Ivey has played OG and we have others and as mentioned Heggie is a frosh center who has shown he is legit.

We finally will have a lot of upperclassmen in 2017 on the OL.

It would have been nice to have Dillard back as a guard but the line performed better with McCoy at center plus we have UA AA Brett Heggie behind him who redshirted this year.

Even after losing Dillard and Sharpe, we still return more linemen than we have in probably 7-8 years.

Could Dillard transfer to an SEC school and play immediately?
