ive not seen a mock draft with him higher than 4th round, severa with him undrafted. Hes been better this year for us than either Reed or Robinson were last year. He gets overshadowed by Allen, but check out his stats through 13 games. 54 tackles, 4.5 tfl, 3 sacks, 7 qb hurries, 4 passes defended, 1 forced fumble. Last year Reed had 57 tackles, 4.5 tfl, 1 sack,8 qb hurries, 2 passes defended in 15 games. Robinson had 46 tackels, 7.5 tfl, 3.5 sacks, 10 qb hurries, and 2 passes defended in 15 games. Tomlinson has 2 more games to play and is comparing favorably to both at this point. Hes 310 pounds and moves like a guy 30 pounds lighter. he has very advanced technique/hand placement and superior physical attributes for an interior lineman. hes a smart guy, no character issues whatsoever, and i think hes really going to show out at the combine. I think its insanity if he goes past the 3rd round, should be 2nd based on what ive seen from him this year.

Jonathan Allen said that Tomlinson has the best technique on the team. Plus he beat A'Shawn's arse last year so you know he's a freak.

I have a feeling he'll get some love.

he'll be a second rounder, those mock drafts are notoriously shite at this point

I hope he gets invited the Senior Bowl, that and the combine should help him in the draft.

Mocks now can't figure out the 1st round. The 4th?

He'll have a chance to show what he has. I think he'll be a mid 3rd round pick.

DT wrestled his entire life in school, not only did our guys say he is unblockedable but several OL folks from teams we played spoke up about him. He has the goods.

I wish my high school had wrestling when I was playing. It pays huge dividends for trenchmen regarding technique and also for any other position for continued conditioning.

Two ACL tears in his first two years doesn't help.

Tomlinson is held in high regard by some analyst. Dude is unblockable. He commands the double team like no one we've had before. With is speed, strength and size, he will flourish in the league and may end up being the best Alabama has produced. Dude is seriously underrated. That is why I started the thread on tRant.

He was off my radar the year he committed. I knew we had offered and he was a 4 star with a great wrestling background, and was happy he came to Bama.

If his knees hold up he will be a good player for a long time IMHO. His technique is what separates him along with his overall athleticism.

Need more 5 year players like him, just without any injuries. Gonna miss him.

Yeah if we could sign one guy like Tomlinson every year it would be fantastic. He didn't come in and play right away, but he worked his arse off and got better and better.

Heck I was hoping we would sign the Coe kid that went to Auburn last year as a DE just because he was a prolific wrestler like Tomlinson was.
