Congrats to Jalen. Relatively speaking, a GREAT regular season. Classy kid too.
This will give him even more motivation in the playoff to prove any haters wrong.
The future is bright for him and our offense so long as he remains healthy.

Cool. Due to the probably unreasonably high hopes I had for the kid after the first game, I have at times been critical, as if anybody is perfect, but he's won games for us we would probably have lost. Ole Miss comes to mind.
Good for him.
Good for him.

Imo, he still needs to improve his intermediate to long routes. From comments he has made, St. Nick Saban thinks so too.
My Mom used to say that she loved all her children and was proud of them, but wasn't always pleased with them. Having children myself, I can totally understand that.

I was just busting thy balls. I agree he needs to clean it up some but that also game plan is a factor.

My criticism of Hurts comes down to two things:
1. Ball security (fumbles)
2. Not throwing the ball away (running out of bounds 6 yards behind tLOS instead of just chucking it 40 yards out of bounds)
He's done a remarkable job of leading this offense all season. If he can overcome the two things I listed above I think he can legitimately win the Heisman next year (assuming he doesn't get injured of course).
ETA: As I've said many, many times on game days, my issue isn't with Hurts. It's Lane's play calling at times.

The thing is, he was great at doing this the first half of the season. It was actually a point of admiration for a lot of us.
I think what we are seeing is him becoming more confident and comfortable, thus being more prone to holding onto the ball longer and taking sacks. Hopefully he finds a good balance between not throwing it away too soon, and throwing it away when he needs to.

Congrats to Jalen! I hope he continues to grow while at the Capstone.
