Alabama didn't get to Appleby much at all, or move him off his spot.

Funnily I pointed this out in another thread and Bama fans shot me down for it

Applebees self-destruction and the goal line stand in the 3rd Q was really the story of the game.

When you throw a ton into tight spots against us you will make some plays, but we will too. It's been that way all year.

But the UF oline was solid in pass pro.

We seemed less aggressive with the blitz. I assume that was because of the secondary shuffling, but yes Florida protected much better that I expected.

I'm pretty sure we wanted him to throw.

Only 3 teams passed for over 250 yards vs Bama...Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Florida

They were pretty good...even so, we still sacked 'em 4 times...

Defensive gamelan was to play zone and rush only 4. Guessing due to the injuries to the secondary, 90% of the completions were to the underneath guys.

When you cant run a lick...then you are forced to throw and everybody knew it.

I thought so too. I made a thread during the game that Florida was playing lights out, particularly their OL, and Appleby was single-handedly blowing it.

Looked like occasional/limited Bama blitzes were easier to read than usual. Just one extra rusher, an LB up the middle showing it well before the snap. Not as agressive or disguised as usual from Pruitt. Bama should've been more agressive blitzing on 3rd & long, imo.
