The decline began before then. 2013 was the last year it was truly good.

Everything he said is true of the last two years.

What was the SEC's bowl record last year? And which conference beat the other conference in the title game? And which conference does Massey rate as the top conference this season?

The SEC has always been overrated. We couldn't believe we went 11-2 our first year in the conference. We thought it would always be this easy.

I get that. I just don't know if bowl games outside of the BCD then or Playoffs now mean anything. Some teams get up for bowl games and others don't.

There is no doubt that the acc has stepped up its game, solid 3rd best conference. I thino prople are down on SEC because alabama is kicking everyones arse and because the east had beaten up on each other so bad. I see a big bowl season in the SECs future. Should win the NC as well as 7+ more bowls.

No, this is what hysteria and rampant Chicken Little-ism looks like. Good God, people, down years happen. It was inevitable. And y'all know what every single conference in America has in common? All of them, from the rinky-dinkiest baby conference to the top of the Power Five, are filled with members who total exactly as many conference losses as conference wins. The Big 10 has 4 highly ranked teams? Those four highly ranked team climbed over the bodies of some truly abysmal teams to get there. That's the nature of the beast. Also, basic math.

I guarantee the SEC will still have more players drafted and better recruiting classes than any other conference this year too.

What hurts the SEC is you have a bunch of 4 and 5 star players banging into each other all year, and it wears on teams. Bama is just that good and deep.

You're basing your conference strength on where teams are ranked? LSU would be a top 10 team with Penn States schedule.

Take away sabanites and bama grads, acc hasn't been in a title hunt in 3+ decades.
