watching the game on TV last night....it seems that all you could hear (outside of Brent and Jessie) was the sound of the VHS Public Address announcer, and the AU band...it seemed that the crowd noise was almost non existent.... did anyone else notice this?

My wife talked about that during the game. I was thinking it was the placement of the Mic's on the sidelines...

The only thing I noticed was how fuking annoying their PA announced was... I had the volume turned way down.

I was at the game, the crowd was not a factor. A third of the students left at halftime. Been to VHS 6 times, it is rarely loud. 2014 was the exception.

Listening on the radio, you could tell. It was hard to decipher when they hit a big play before bumbling Bramblett could tell us what actually happened. The cheers were distinctly quiet.

We had no trouble calling an audible at the line last night. Pretty crazy

Wife and her mom were there (I drew dog sitting duty). They said crowd noise was not loud, but the sound system was obnoxiously so.

Was there, loud at times and the announcer sucked. He kept saying "Aubern". He really was horrible.

Aren't "-burn" and "-bern" phonetically the same

It was never loud.

My trip report-

The grove is cool, but it's just freaking too packed for me. Give me some wide open spaces please.

Talent is all over, which is nice.

Stadium is nice, I was in club level

The new lighting is pretty crazy all the stuff they can do with it. Not sure if you could tell on TV, but during time outs and commercials, the stadium lights go crazy.

They mic the band. WTF? Seriously, never mic your band and play it over the PA. Same thing with the cheerleaders occasionally. Keep that crap off the PA. The band should just play loud enough to be heard. Too much shite over the speakers with the PA guy, piped in crap music, band, and cheerleaders. Also it was just a loud PA where I sat.

Their announcer was part hype guy too. It was annoying.

The old dude next to me thought that every single incompletion by ole miss was a direct result of pass interference. It was comical. Even after the replay on the jumbotron and we wouldn't have touched the receiver, he'd yell, "SEE, They're all over 'em." It was hard not to laugh.

Good trip over all. Glad we got a W!

I was at the game. It was very quiet. The noise music from the loudspeakers was pretty much the only noisy part of the game. The visitor's section was louder. But I guess that happens when your team has 4 losses.

Sounds like you have a problem with tracking. Keep trying. WDE.

That's hilarious considering their receivers are notorious for pushing off. Glad the officials let them play and didn't call interference either way

Pretty sure players could have shanked the guy across from them and the refs would have let them play.

I never thought there would be a game where I thought both teams deserved more penalties
