They must hold both teams well below their run averages to win. With Eddie Jackson gone, Bama's pass defense just took a huge blow and playing 7-8 in the box, with no experienced safety, is dangerous.

Bama is vulnerable against these teams.

Then again, if Bama has to outscore teams - this is the year they can actually do it. They were #6 in the country (before yesterday) in scoring offense.

Needless to say, this is going to be an exciting last few weeks in the SEC West! What else is new?

The West is the Best!

Alabama holds every team they play well below its run average.

If LSU can end the defensive/special teams touchdown streak, they have to feel like they have a shot in the game.

Need Fournette to bust out around 4 yards/carry, somehow.

Before it gets unbearable on here, I can't wait for this game.

Nothing like LSU-Bama in November, especially in DV. ( yes, I'm aware of Bamas record in Tiger Stadium).

Best game of the year.

- Eddie Jackson is not a run stopping safety.

- Alabama's defensive weakness isn't stopping the run, it's pass coverage

- For Auburn or L5U to win, they need to be able to effectively throw the ball downfield and not become one-dimensional.

You literally don't know what you're talking about.

I saw this movie a year ago when it first came out.

Eddie plays the run very well. Our weakness is pass coverage, but it has gotten a bit better. That improvement is due to the front 7's pressure though

He was near 4 yards/carry two years ago at home against Alabama.

LSU always rushes it better at home than they do in Tuscaloosa.

Both defenses are good, but Bama is better. LSU is going to struggle to put points on the board offensively. We need to win the turnover and special teams battle to keep it close.

Ford from aTm was the most effective runningback against Bama i remmeber this year. With Saban's new smaller and faster defense, powerful backs might be a little more effective. I don't see any single back getting more than 100. A team effort might get 200 tops against Bama.
RUSHING DEFENSE Check out Army

1 Alabama 7 219 447 2.04 3 63.9

2 Army West Point 6 168 505 3.01 6 84.2

3 Houston 7 227 610 2.69 7 87.1

4 Kansas St. 6 180 542 3.01 7 90.3

5 San Diego St. 7 220 655 2.98 3 93.6

...and LSUs defense is something Alabama sure really be concerned about, IMO.

Same goes for LSU and Floating ball Danny.

Auburn beats Bama, wins SEC. Then Bama wins the NC.

And you literally can't understand the written word. Where did I mention that? I mentioned him with PASS defense. Geez, some of you dopes, I swear, I know you never graduated high school, much less college.

The OP clearly stated it's the bama pass "D" that took a big hit with jackson getting hurt. He never said anything about jackson being a run stopping safety.

Didn't see where the OP stated he was a run stopper. You are one of those fans that can't have a decent conversation without being an arse.

And Alabama's run defense has improved significantly each year since 2014.

YPC vs. Bama...

2014: 3.17
2015: 2.43
2016: 2.18

Plus, last year you had the best OL in the country, amirite?

Why do you people always act like you are worried before games. You are not part of the show as well are you?
