Our seniors on defense are on their 3rd Defensive coordinator.
Our juniors AND seniors on offense are on their 3rd Offensive coordinator.

If cheney doesnt stick around after this year, our seniors next year would have had a new OC every year. 4 oc's in 4 years.
Hard to get buy in from kids when their mentors change every year.
I think we are due for a little bit of continuity with assistants.

Say Kirby's tenure doesn't go well at all. I hope that isn't the case, but lets say it does and we have three sub-par years. We make another bad hire, and get three more years of mediocrity.
We could look back at Mike Bobo leaving as the beginning of a dark age for UGA football.

And our Seniors and Juniors and Sophomores have all had 2 head coaches.....it's crazy......it's almost like we shouldn't have hired Kirby. I mean, look around the country nowadays, every decent coordinator can get a head coaching job immediately after a good performance and he spent many many years without getting or taking a jobb....they should just cancel college football and go to minor league football teams. Then you can pick and choose your allegiance based on who spends the most money on actual players

I agree....we should fire Smart today and pay CMR what ever amount of money it takes to get him back .......said no real UGA fan ever....

Well he is certainly doing a bang up job at CS.
If Smart's first year and first 4 games of his second year goes like Bobo's, you would burn down Smart's house.

What?
What does his head coaching job have to do with him being the OC here, where he coordinated some of the greatest offenses in UGA history?
I think Bobo has a little tougher job at CSU than Kirby does here.

That's laughable. CKS came into a program that hasn't won its conference in 10 years..:and its division only twice in the last 10. We play and recruit against the best teams in the country on the biggest stage - and you've shown that even after 1 loss in his first year some fans start pining for Richt and calling for his head.
Bobo just needs to what? Have a winning record in the Mountain West? McElwain was their gold standard and his best year was 10 wins. They don't even care about football out there. There are GA HS coaches that have tougher jobs than Bobo.

Yeah McElwain is their gold standard, he was also the coach right before Mike. Thats pressure to succeed right from the start for 1st time head coach.
Then throw in the fact that you have to coach these 2 stars up to a level where you can win. In contrast, Georgia recruits itself. We will always have top tier recruiting classes. Hell, that shitty coach Mark Richt averaged 10 wins a season.
Plus, you're in the easiest division of the SEC, get the SEC reputation bump, have so many more resources at your disposal, and have a national brand that people recognize.
But yeah, its way easier to coach at CSU
