Look how much has changed in 10 years. This was the last game I ever watched as a fan in which I knew we didn't have a prayer's chance of winning. I envied the '06 LSU team because of all that talent and depth they had on their roster. I thought for sure Alabama would never look like this ever in my lifetime.
My how times have changed.

It was freaking cold that night.

Yes, by 2026 we will be looking back at this season's game in awe of how far LSU has come.

Well, considering LSU had arguably the best QB in the school's history that year, your point is weak.

I came of age in the late 90s, early 2000s. Everyone said we were living off a dead Bear and the glory days were over.
2009 Pasadena was a beautiful time. I didn't care about making it back. Certainly didn't envision 4 in 7 years. What a world.

I remember going to this game. Never thought for a second we would win it.
Amazing thing was how LSU only won 28-14. Dam, this should have been like 45-3.
Also remember thinking during the game about jamarcus, this guy is gonna be the first player taken in the draft ? Just didn't see it. I told my buddy if this is the top player the nfl has hit the shites. Our defense was insufferably bad and he was struggling at times.

Enjoy it while you still can.
Nothing lasts forever and great runs like Saban has going will eventually flame out and come to an end.
And then Bama and LSU will switch places again and the cycle repeats itself again.
LSU in 2006 should've won the natty that year if not for that bullshite no call at Auburn.

Was this the one with that ridiculous no call on the pass interference in the end zone?

The next week I remember Michael henig throwing for like 175 yds in the first half as miss state went up 20-0 Dam.

And then it will eventually flare up again because we are inherently a premiere program.
