Les Miles is LSU's all-time best winningest coach. No other coach has a better win/loss percentage at LSU. What is it you want to return to???

Historically you've been average. I know you don't believe it but it's true. For perspective:

Conference championships:
Alabama 29
LSU 14
Vandy 14

Les Miles led you to conference championships and two national championship appearances. Just as importantly, he is great and classy guy and is great for your program.

When you say you want to go back to your greatness, from an outsider's perspective, the Les Miles era is your greatness.

I agree it doesn't make much sense. Should have been fired at the end of last season.

This is true. What they expect is to be like Bama. It's really that simple. Plus they probably want to compete with Arkansas again.

Average how?

Average among top 25 programs?
Average across CFB?

No one cares about vandy's non SEC championships, and we don't care about your SWC Championships.

The threads containing "LSU is average" are usually the threads without links supporting them.

LSU has always been good minus the 90s. And if you want to take away our best decade thinking it's an anomaly you have to take out our worst too. Still leaving us as a top 15 program
