Why is LSU so scared of Missouri?

As I have stated here multiple times, LSU has never beaten Missouri in football. Missouri is 100% against LSU all time.

LSU leans heavily on the excuses that, well that was 1978 though, and they've only played one time.

Now with these new developments and firing of the only competent coach LSU could lure though they are setting up the next round of excuses in hopes that in 8 years they may be better suited.

"We had an interim head coach"
"Yeah, but that was 2016 though"

I'm not saying LSU fired miles just to save face after losing to Missouri, but it begs the question...

Clearly that I missed the fans and likely players alike are drinking heavily in order to set up that excuse as well
