Muschamp was on Carolina calls last night fielding the inevitable OL questions. He said he didn't understand the notion that they did a bad job. Said that they gave up 0 sacks and we rushed for almost 5 yards per carry. While true, without the last run to get first down and run out the clock, we would've had a mere 3.8 ypc. I'm sure if he thought they needed extra motivation he would've given it to them, see David Williams. However, if he truly thinks they did well then what do you suppose he credits going 3 quarters with no points and 3-12 on third down?

He's doesn't strike me as a guy that will blame players honestly. I mean he always brings it back to coaching and his job. We have a good opportunity this weekend to equal our win total from last year and I think he wants to keep things positive.

Side note: driving through WV to Lexington, it's a treat. Amazingly beautiful out here.

We'll see I guess.

I do observe that they are better pass blockers than run blockers ... but I made that observation after watching that closed scrimmage.

They are not a good run blocking OLine. Actually, they are a poor excuse for a run blocking OLine.

Well my thoughts after he said that were this. He had no problem calling David Williams out for his performance. Hell, he straight up kicked him out of the first practice. If he felt that there was an issue caused solely by the OL, I don't think he'd hesitate to make it known.

There's a difference though in effort and poor performance. Those guys could have given their all and still sucked. I don't think Muschamp would call them out if they tried their hardest. Difference was David Williams wasn't trying.
