Here are some popular trends for SEC coaches:

1. Kevin Sumlin. He has never improved his victory total from the prior year.

2012: 11
2013: 9
2014: 8
2015: 8
2016: ???

Is this the year this changes?

A&M is 3-0 with 4 Gimme wins (South Carolina, NM St. Miss St. and UTSA)

They have to avoid slipping up against SC and Miss St. and win 2 out of 5 against Arkansas, Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU and Tennessee.

If A&M wins this Saturday, Sumlin's streak should end.

Likelihood of streak continuing? 80%

2. Gus Malzahn getting worse every single season as head coach record wise.

2013: 12-2
2014: 8-5
2015: 7-6
2016: ???

Auburn is 1-2 right now.

They have 4 very winnable games, ULM, Mississippi St., Vanderbilt and Alabama A&M.

They would need to win all 4 of those and take one from the better teams plus win their bowl game.

I think they're more likely to end up at 4-8 than 6-6 though.

Likelihood of streak continuing: 90%

3. Bret Bielema's record improving every single season:

2013: 3-9
2014: 7-6
2015: 8-5
2016: ????

Arkansas is 3-0 on the season. The possibility of finishing 8-4 or better in the regular season seems quite good given the relative shittiness of several opponents.

Alcorn, Auburn, Mississippi St and Missouri seem like certain victories.

That would leave Arkansas needing to win 2 games from LSU, Texas A&M, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and the Bowl Game.

If Arkansas wins this weekend it would be a virtual certainty.

Likelihood of streak continuing: 90%

4. Kentucky failing to make a bowl.

Mark Stoops has failed to make a bowl in his career at Kentucky. This year, Kentucky is fielding the worst defense in all of the Power 5 conferences. Kentucky might go 0-8 in the SEC and they've already dropped 1 non-conference and are certain to lose to Louisville as well.

Likelihood of streak continuing: 100%

5. Mississippi failing to win 10 regular season games.

Mississippi has never won 10 games in the regular season. After starting the season 1-2 this seems like a safe bet. Ole Miss would have to go 4-0 against Georgia, Arkansas, LSU and A&M. This seems extremely unlikely.

Likelihood of streak continuing: 95%

3. Butch Jones's record improving by 2 wins every single season:

2013: 5-7
2014: 7-6
2015: 9-4
2016: ????

Arkansas is 3-0 on the season. The possibility of finishing 10-2 or better in the regular season seems quite possible given the relative shittiness of several opponents.

Tennessee Tech, Kentucky, Vanderbilt South Carolina and Missouri seem like probable victories.

That would leave Tennessee needing to win 3 games from Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M, Alabama and the Bowl Game.

If Tennessee wins this weekend it would be a chance of the streak continuing.

Likelihood of streak continuing: 50%
