Learning on the fly.

Some lessons are best learned in the hardest manner.

Our best players had a wake up tonight.

Positive steps were made.

I'm happy, should get to 6 wins easy.

Stepping stone season.

Stepping stone season is right. Just keep getting better. We're progressing.

I agree with most of that.

I feel good about the team going forward. Lock was overconfident with those ints but that's far better than last year. We should win 7. Hopefully the recruits on campus today feel good about the future too.

I'm hoping Acy can replace Gibson as the CB opposite Penton.
But I liked what I saw from the defense today.

Wilson had some good plays today. That was nice to see.

I'm glad Lock got pushed a few times after the play.

He's still got that lil Bieber twinkle in his eye.

Needs to have that realization that other people are dirty mother frickers who didn't have mom read them bed time stories at night like he did.

He's gonna get his man focus and it's gonna be fun to watch.

Gibson sucks. He can't cover without getting a PI. He shouldn't be playing. Where is Warren?

Going to be very tough to get to 6 wins now.

Great game last night. From the outside looking in I think y'all have already grown on defense since the WV game and your offense is the real deal. I can see Mizzou easily taking at least 2 of the 4 against UF, LSU, UT & Ark as the team gels more & more as the season progresses. 8-4, maybe even 9-3 with a break or 2... UGA was lucky to get the win last night. I think Mizzou's best ball is still ahead of them this season... TIFWIW...

I share your optimism. Eight or nine wins might be a bit much, but they're going to ruin a season or two before it's all said and done. They should have ruined yours. ;-) Oh well...

Good luck the rest of the way.

Your freshman QB is the real deal. Impressed.

I agree. It is. But I'm also getting sick and tired of stepping stone seasons.

When was the last stepping stone season?

When wasn't it? When's the last time we won an actual conference title?

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled with what this team and coaching staff showed last night. A lot more than I thought they would. But I'd also like to break through and win something. As Cubs fans say...there's always next year.

Mizzou doesn't have the infrastructure to "win something"

For fricks sake, we had 57000 fans in the stands last night.

It's our plight. Every once and awhile things will come together and break right for us, but that will always be few and far between.

CFB is the most uneven playing field in any sport and this is our plight.

I don't disagree with any of that. But I also can see where a game like last night are just a couple/few plays away from changing the course of the season. Not so far off in the end.
