Yes I know it's very early, but I'd bet my money on Bama to win it all this year. (Sorry Ole Miss, but you guys are gonna get sanctions so you don't count) My question is (and this is not to anger SEC fans, but just to stir up debate), is based on yesterday, what is the order or the P5 conferences overall from best to worst. I was expecting the SEC to win all of their games yesterday, so yesterday wasn't great according to SEC standards. With that being said, my ranking:
1) SEC
2) Big 10
3) ACC
4) PAC 12
5) BIG 12

If I had to predict a conference being left out off the playoff: PAC 12. I say this because Oregon or Stanford will probably screw each other as they have done the past couple of years.

Big 10 looking strong. I don't see anyone in the SEC that will sniff a championship outside of Bama.

Too early to tell. I would hold up on the Bama hype till the Ole Miss game.

Early but my money is on BIG 10 for top to bottom strength this year.

I thought the SEC and ACC would be the strongest at the top:
LSU, Alabama vs Clemson, FSU

That opinion is being revaluated now.

All of the conferences look pretty even right now with the Pac 12 a shade behind the other P5 conferences. Teams in each conference were good, bad, and awful.

The SEC certainly won't be heads and shoulders above the others this year.

We're going to learn to eventually not weigh Week 1 so heavily.

The parity, along with teams not yet forming a cohesive identity and lack of execution, are going to make upsets a normal thing. If you want to pull a major upset you best do it in Week 1. Teams make the most improvement between now and next week.

The Big 10 is the best conference overall this year. However until Saban leaves Alabama will be the best team regardless of how good or bad the SEC as a whole is doing.

SEC is still the most physcial, demanding conference. The Big 10 has been closing the gap and is pretty close. Pac 12 is third, they are better than the ACC over all. I don't know which conference is better between Big 12 and ACC. Both have some good teams, but both have a lot of cupcakes.

Still the SEC, but the gap has shrunk.

The SEC still dominated the bowl season.

Bit early to tell. I can't say the SEC was very good yesterday.

How can any of you say the bug 10 is better than the sec. All they have is Ohio state and michigan. Wisconsin might have taken a step up buy Sparty took a step back. We still have better talent top to bottom than northwestern Minnesota Rutgers Maryland Illinois and Purdue. Iowa is another team that would lose to the top 4 or 5 in the sec. Cmon' guys think with a level head.

If both Michigan and Ohio State are legit, then the Big10 may have the best slate of teams this year.

Wisconsin looked good, and Michigan State also won't be bad.
