As always, they could go 1-11 as long as the 1 was Alabama.

Do the schools have anything to do with the scheduling? A monkey understands the brand value of bama right now...Auburn's line up seems clearly devised hoping for people to see bama as much as possible so the average fan will watch as well. It's good business for the SEC network, bad if you are an Auburn fan. Side note...someone at the SEC network ran an Alabama logo on the screen from some of Auburns takeover day.

Article from Bama site talking about Auburn is very little brother yourself...

I very seriously doubt the school has anything to do with the programming and even if they did, the two games played int he middle of the day were sort a big games.

Im sure if Alabama would have been good enough to win them, they could have played them on their takeover day.

Sorry for winning big games

You may note that Alabama has dedicated not one moment to wins over Auburn - in any sport.

So Auburn schedules 4 games against bama, three of which were big football games and the other was a gymnastics meet. Two of the football games keep the gumps here perpetually butt hurt and drew huge ratings. I imagine the gymnastics meet has as well caused some anal soreness given that bama was/is a powerhouse in gymnastics.

Yes. The schools actually choose the programming.

I came in to downvote this as a shitty troll thread. But it seems like you're actually getting bites, so I guess it's effective.

fricking pathetic post and mindset you bring with it.

Yeah I'm sure Bama's complete overlooking of their nationally renowned rivalry with Auburn was because they are up to their ears in more important games, and wasn't a conscious decision to throw shade at "little bro"

I wouldn't say never, we were pretty good in 94 but the refs gave you that game.

Bama's schedule is kinda unwatchable for non-Bammers though (as most takeovers have been). There are only four football games. Three of them are blowouts and the fourth, the CFPCG, has been on various ESPN outlets, including tNetwork, dozens of times in the past month alone. There's next to no original Bama-created content. There's a softball game from 2012. At least the men's golf from 2014 is for a title... As an outsider though, if they were to air a Bama vs. UGA game, why wouldn't they show the McAaron vs. Murray SECCG? The 2015 affair was a shite game as a neutral spectator. I understand the '15-'16 CFP and SECCG inclusions because it was a championship season, but, man, Bama's lineup is a total snoozer by and large.

It's about how I imagine fans of other programs felt when we aired fourteen straight hours of The Season, but producing The Season is our media department's sole reason for existence, and they do an ok job, so I can see why the university would reward them by airing their hard work on national tv.

They didn't show the 1979 Sugar Bowl or the 2012 SEC title game?

Bama fans have been saying this for as long as I can remember Iron Bowl smack (which would be roughly 50 years, more or less).

In a way I guess it's true, because I would gladly endure an 0-11 start just to witness the mother of all meltdowns in the Bama fanbase after losing the IB to a winless "little brother".

I did enjoy a portion of the Auburn takeover. Had no idea before 1989 the Iron Bowl was always played at Legion Field before Dye renegiotiated the contract to play on campus.
