This is the dumbest shite. People already talk about the South putting athletics before education and how our priorities aren't straight. Then y'all go and prove em all right. Smh

There won't be many in-class finals that Saturday.

There's no logistical way to have a game and classes. UT doesn't have enough parking for full time students on a regular day. The faculty and staff parking situation isn't any better.

seriously? do y'all not have a very good bus transportation infrastructure? In CS, the mall handles a large amount of parking for games and we bus people in.

BTW, are you coming down for the game? Would be nice to grab a beer or two with ya.

We run shuttles for games and the downtown lot has been a big help but there's still not enough parking in the area. Outside of game days public transportation is pretty much non-existent. Things have gotten better in the last few years but there's only so much that you can do with campus running up against the river. We only really have 2 ways out and 2 directions you can go -- East or West via the front of campus or East/West via the back.

The Vol Navy developed in part due to the fact that our traffic and parking woes made it easier for one of our announcers to get to the games if he used a boat instead.

I don't have plans to go to CS right now but if we get together a trip, I'll definitely let you know! I know a lot of people are looking forward to the game. I've heard high praise about you guys as hosts.
