Work 8-4 with a lunch.

Options of 4 10's, should be more available for employees.

2 damn weeks of vacation a year for many people is way too damn low. Not to mention you can get called when you are on those few days off.

I'm not for the socialist Europe, but there really is more to life than working all the damn time.

And this is exactly why women don't make as much money as men. And rightly so

This is why the Chinese are moving ahead of our country. Just a bunch of entitled, lazy people.

We all need a damn break. Vacatiom time is great but honestly. We spend way to much of the one life we live working. Its a bad system in general. I love my work. But I spent way to much of my life there.

I just love my time off. I wouldn't mind taking a whole month off, even without pay, just to enjoy life and not fricking work. Luckily I got a new job and we only work 4 days a week, but even then it seems like too many days at work.

I also don't disagree with the notion that in some places employees with children get some more leeway than those without. I'm not a fan of subscribing to the notion that a childless worker = no priorities and should be the one to "take one for the team" on holidays/etc unless they want to.
See the problem I've seen with this, is that parents will lie about their kids being sick, etc to get off work and it most of the time is a legit excuse that doesn't require a Dr's note. People without kids, don't get this leeway and we for sure notice all the other coworkers using that excuse.

I've started to see more jobs offer personal time along with sick leave, so this could fix some of these problems.

I'm a male so I'm certainly not a mother, so I'm getting in on this maternity leave stuff.

This equality shite isn't too bad after all.

I agree. And it was the reason America moved ahead of Europe.

The more people get, the more they demand. The only way to have the freedoms they want from working is to be self-employed.

The Chinese are not ahead of this country and won't be in the near future. The reasons they are growing so fast is because of the low wages, vast labor pool, etc. as well as the fact they are starting from peasantry and moving up into developed country. The US doesn't have that room for growth because there is only so much developing you can do to a developed country. The US still is recognized as one of the hardest working countries in the world.

It's called PTO, and you earn it by being at work.

all women should be able to take paid time off to "shift their focus to the part of their lives that doesn't revolve around their job.

1- Women wanted to be treated as equals so, deal with it women.

2- "paid time off" is called vacation days. Use them and quit bitching about having to work.

3- This is the result of allowing women to have influence in our country.
