Not sure we are going to see an 80's SWC sequel, but it's not crazy to think there could be some fallout here for other schools in the SEC as well.

Big difference is the current status of the NCAA/paper tiger & that the big dog on the block is still holding court (Bama).

When the SWC scandals hit Texas went into a tailspin.. Bama isn't exactly happy about one of the poors buying their way into their part of the neighborhood, but they aren't going to be screaming & leveraging their power like Texas did.

Dude...the whole fricking thing is rigged. It is what it is. Even though both schools had a coach pay a player, Ole Miss doesn't represent as much revenue to the NCAA as Bama does, so you go on probation and Bama doesn't. That's the way it works.
