When Brick Haley left LSU, was there anything in his contract such as buyout that LSU used to block him from joining Chief?

my understanding is no. lsu demoted him and then he left willingly

Not unless Chief wanted to hire him in an "administrative role" because he was no longer part of the coaching staff
