I think that's a fair assessment.
Still think this recruiting class could have been far worse, all things taken into consideration.
Like most everyone else, I believe with a decent record, next year at this time we could be smiling with the 17 class.

They are already going strong on 4* recruits for 2017.

May still fill a few spots too according to Gabe. Perhaps a grad transfer or an overlooked kid.

people act like Odom had a full season to recruit.
guy got the gig late, had a shite storm happen before that, had a ton of negative recruiting, and still was able to put together a reasonable class.
Next 2 years of recruiting will tell us a lot about Odom and his staff. He gets a "Kim Anderson" for this year.

We'll probably know in 2018.

From the outside looking in, Odom and staff did as well as could be expected. This is not an optimal class by any stretch but likely can be managed. Did it meet team needs? Don't know on that account. I am not sure on that question and I doubt many are. If I knew the kind of players Odom prefers I might have better insight on this, but truthfully Missouri has done so much with so little over the years this is hard to assess. I think we are going to have to wait and see what happens.

Odom says that he wants to recruit higher rated players than Pinkel, but we know that we won't be getting the higher rated players on the scale of Bama, LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss and even Tennessee and Texas A&M.
