A game like last year's Ohio State loss could have taken this team one of two ways. They could have fractured apart in a bunch of separate agendas or come together in one tight bond. This season is evidence of which path they chose.

The heart of this team was really special. I foolishly started a thread about that on the rant and got the typical responses.
But this team didn't just have talent, they really bought in and maximized their talent. And it took that, because Henry or Coker or Ridley alone wasn't going to beat that Clemson team. It took all of them plus OJ and Kenyon and Griffith and all those great defensive players who were playing their hearts out just to contain Watson.
Alabama dominated some good teams in previous title games, but this time they left it all on the field to pull out a win over a great, great Clemson team. And it's sweeter to me when you win a game like this.

Good story. This was probably the closest Bama team we've had in a while. The loss to tOSU, as hard as it was to take at the time, was likely a very strong catalyst for this season.
Can you imagine what that '10 team could have accomplished with just a little of that mindset?
