No, really. It would be dumb if people weren't serious. But I have come across some DEAD SERIOUS people that just think Alabama is overrated and boring. Probably just mad more than anything, but even still.

I don't doubt that but this thread is just kind of pointless. The guy that said "Alabama is just lucky...." is stupid and you shouldn't even validate him by bringing it up

So Alabama is the only NC team that has NEVER been a recipient of any luck of any kind???

Even if the 4th and 25 never happened Alabama would have ended up in the top 4 at the end of the year. Our brand is just like that! Sorry!

what rules prevented it from happening? The calculations are what put Bama there. Not Bama's fault that OSU couldn't beat Iowa State. Bama proved to be the best team in the country on 1/9/12.

Bama may still have been in as a 1 loss power 5 team b/c Ole Miss still had 2 losses. If you are going to talk about this freakish win though, then you need to acknowledge Bama had karma working in its favor after the Kick Six and a prevention of a possible three-peat.

Had L5U not gotten beat 21-0 and been able to cross the 50 yard line a few more times you might have a point... But as it is the "rematch" showed who really got lucky earlier in the year.

Years go by and the historical markers never seem to change, so let's review them just for Metry's sake.
2nd chance, also known as "mulligan" and "Alabama's special discount;"
21-0 (Could easily have been 35-0 or more);
50 yard line - sorry, it is forbidden for you and your ilk;
"It's a mauling folks, a mauling;"
1/9/12 - "a date that will live in infamy;"

- Please consider how unfair it was for the number 2 ranked team to beat the stuffing out of whomever.
- Please think about Ritter,
- the SEC offices in Birmingham,
- the interception call that wasn't,
- the screen pass that was,
- the unsportsmanlike penalty on the goal line...
- Consider Saban leaving LSU for Alabama and returning Alabama to the top of the heap.
- Think about 30 straight years of games in tiger stadium without a single LSU win...
- think about Alabama fans chanting rammer jammer at you personally, over and over and over.
But don't think I am not sympathetic, because I'm not. I hope you sleep well tonight.
