Since about the middle point of the season, all the talking heads discussing how down the SEC has been and that the B1G is "clearly the strongest conference" this year. (I'll raise my hand as one who bought in to the idea that the field was at least closer to level this year) To bolster the argument, the overall SEC performance in bowl games from last year was used as fuel.

Fast forward to today (think it was halftime during the UT/NW game), SEC dominating bowl games, B1G pretty much getting embarrassed (save Michigan's throttling of UF) and all of a sudden the talk track changes. Herbstreit/Fowler ~ "I don't really buy into the idea that one conference is better than another based on bowl game performances." ORLY
