I haven't seen one minute of UF bball this year, can someone give me a little primer on what to expect while watching?
As for us, most of the main people involved are going to be familiar. Gaines, Mann, and Frazier lead the guards. Gaines is our best G defender and can usually score in double figures. Mann is ok but wildly inconsistent and turns the ball over all the time. He's good at driving and getting to the FT line though. Frazier is our tiny guy that has really been excellent at 3 pointers this year.
In the post, Maten has made massive strides this year at C. Still don't know how fox got him out of detroit. He's averaging about 17 ppg for us. One newcomer to watch is big #34 derek ogbede. He's a FR and is sitll a bit raw but he's a physical body that gives us rebounds. When he finds some offensive game he'll be very good.
Gaines, Frazier, and Maten are all averaging better than 13 ppg.
Our typical lineup will be something like:
1- Mann/Frazier/Jackson (Fr)
2- Gaines/Frazier
3- Mann/Gaines/Kenny P Geno/A Fre.
4- Ogbede/kessler (guy sucks)/ Edwards (Fr)
5- Maten/Ogbede
If this was in Athens I'd feel alright but we never seem to play well at ALL in gainesville. I'm hoping we just play sound ball and don't get run out of the building.

I think UGA is on the upswing with roundball and a HC who is under rated.... we just lost a tough game with the girls school and we are basically a 2 man show on offense which is easy to defend.
How long has Mann been at UGA? Eight years now?
Havent really buckled down to studying BB program yet...Im in the recruiting/bowl game til Feb. Good luck in bowl and lets see the SEC dominate this year. I think we are at 2-0 right this minute....west doing good work.

You will face the worse shooting team in the SEC. Statistically we are dead last in FG%, FT% and 3PT%.
Georgia is 118th in FG% UF is 256th.
We have a couple playmakers when they are on and our PG play has been terrible this year. I expect a GA win.
