SC fans. My thoughts on Roper

First, we didn't get him long enough to know if he had the skills to call plays without the help of Cutcliffe.
Therefore, I'm not saying he's either good or bad.
What I believe is that Boom obviously has some faith in him or he wouldn't have hired him in the first place.
Mainly though, I think Boom felt really guilty about hiring him on and then getting fired. Roper knew the risk because it was obvious that Boom was coaching for his job and Cut told him that fact before he left Duke.
If Boom is indeed hiring him again because he felt he did Roper wrong somehow then that would be of concern.
I hope he works out for you. Roper seemed like a really good dude and appears to be very smart.

Our QB situation should be better than what Roper had to work with at Florida. Hopefully that makes a difference.

I don't know. I've just started being able to repress most of the Muschamp era at UF.

What kind of offense does he run?
I thought it was more of a pro-style but at the press conference MUSChamp said he learned that the more snaps you have the more chances you have to score so it sounds like he wants a hurry up spread system here

He ran a spread at UF. This isn't saying much but he was the best OC we had under Muschamp.

I think that is the difference between Treon under Mac and Roper. Advantage Roper.
