We are all aware that the "orange crush" portion of our schedule is coming up. I have asked some of the different fans of those particular teams around my office this question with various results, so I bring it to the board to get y'alls thoughts on it.

tennesee, florida, or clemson. Which one of the orange teams do we snakebite this year. I truly believe we will snatch one of these guys, and it is for no other reason than gut feeling.

tennesee has beaten us the past few years when we were the better team on paper, now the roles are reversed.

florida has been a good battle both ways recently.

clemson brings in the dream scenario that a lot of us has talked about on here before coming to town undefeated with a high ranking and begging us to knock them off of their horse. This year is certainly shaping up this way.

The tennesee fans at work think we will sneak clemson.
The florida fans think we grab tennesee.
The taters think we get florida.

So I ask y'all, who do we unexpectedly steal a win from this year?

Does the Citadel wear orange?

To pull big upsets, you pretty much need great QB play. We are rolling with Perry Orth. We aren't beating any of the three.

Hate to agree with everyone, but I think we will go 0-3, unless something crazy happens... injuries, suspensions, etc.

I could see beating UTK. That is the worst team of the three, and certainly the worst-coached.

Clemson wouldn't completely surprise me, it being a rivalry and all, but UTK is the most likely victory of that batch.

I hope for beating all three .... yet expect none.

Most likely?

I dunno, it's a strange dynamic. Show well at A&M, possibly gain some momentum and beat Tennessee ... then I dunno.

Clemson at our place - I suppose anything is possible.

For all the rosy talk going around on the net and radio and all, I can tell you there are still issues within that team. Things are not as upbeat as we are being told. They are starved for a good win to give them something to be positive about ... I'm talking about the players. So we'll see how it goes but I am not expecting much - this season is close to becoming a total write-off. I really do hope something good happens and things get turned around though ... I really do.

One game at a time. Let's see how we do against A&M and then I will definitely come back and offer a more definitive opinion about our chances after this weekend.

The Clemson rivalry game thing is really overblown as far as anyone can win. When is the last time the best team didn't win the game? If we're all being honest, the last time either team won that wasn't the best team was... maybe '09? The only one I feel for sure the best team lost was the "Push off" game in 2000. There really aren't many upsets in the rivalry at all in the last 30 plus years.

If any at all, Tennessee or Clemson. Florida is playing too well for me to say we have a chance.

Tennessee is IMO the weakest of the three. However they are still better than us. I only include a Clemson because it's a rivalry game. They are MUCH MUCH better.

Personally I don't think we beat any of those teams.

They haven't performed their annual clemsoning tradition yet this year.

This gives me hope.

1980 will always be the one that sticks out in my mind. We were heavily favored, had the better team ... and lost.

I would love for this to be OUR 1980-like upset win in the rivalry for a change.

This is my hope as well, aside from finishing on a positive note, the resulting Tater melt would equal the combined Tennessee and Florida melt.

Hey, if that also means we win (buy) a national championship next year, I'm all for it!

We certainly had our chance with all three especially clemson and tenn.

Can't say I enjoyed this season at all, but hopefully from the ashes of our dumpster fire some promise shows up next season.
