fricking 1990, y'all. We're right back to where we were 25 humiliating years ago losing to tCitadel. And about to sink $50 million dollars into a program that is so fricking incredibly lost that they could lay a trail of those dollars to the promised land and somehow we'd STILL take a wrong turn.

Never thought we'd lose to a FCS team...

I went to Night Caps on Devine last night. Lots of people drinking their sorrows away... Never seen it that crowded.

I vividly remember the last time it happened. We were actually loving on the Isle of Palms at the time, had just moved back into our home after having it rebuilt post hurricane Hugo. It was a miserable ride home that day knowing what was coming from all the Citidel fans down there.

Bobby Hartin had a Sports Bar out on Coleman at the time. Pretty little bar wench worked the bar named Gretchen. I decided to go by there on the way home and have a couple more beers ... it was a mistake. A total meltdown was in play.

I never thought it would happen again - but it did, obviously, yesterday.

I feel sorry for my friends still living down there because Charleston will not be a fun place for Gamecock fans for awhile.

Rock bottom is where we are, no doubt. It's disgusting and pathetic.

I was at college of charleston last time it happened. Turuble. Whoever scheduled this game is a complete dumbass. Nothing good comes from playing a d2 option team. There is no fricking reward. You either play scared and get gashed or you get injuries from all the chop blocks. It also sets you backwards in terms of preparation.

Elliots offensive line is a god damn abortion. Just wanted to add that. I am going to end every conversation with that line all week. Meetings at work should be fun.

Was present and accounted for during every single home game of that miserable two year stretch of losses.

Also proudly rushed the field and watched as the posts were torn down after beating New Mexico State to end the losing streak.

I remember security and state troopers just standing back like "aw, frick...let 'em have their fun..they deserve it." Hell, most of them looked like they desperately wanted to join in on the festivities.

Maybe its just me but this feels worse than the 0-11 year. I was hoping we were beyond being the SECs doormat.
To have been so close and just turned back into a fricking joke bothers me more. Spurrier left us in much worse shape than holtz. And look at some of the impact players fat brad left for holtz and it seems like fat brad almost left us more talent. Call me crazy.

I agree completely. The next coach will have to totally rebuild.

I don't think we are in that bad of shape. Do you remember the turmoil surrounding the program after the brawl? The computer thefts? etc? Spurrier came in and we actually signed some decent talent in that first class. I think the new coach will do the same. I just don't think that the cupboard is quite as bare talent-wise as we may think. We just have some pretty poor coaches on staff who aren't getting the job done.

This paired with a few problem players. But I have a good feeling that whoever comes into this mess (Herman, but I'm still not believing anything until the ink is dry) will be able to do decently well with what we already have.
