One of the top 2 head coaches in the nation, with a crap load more talent than we have, made questionable calls that cost his team the game, at home, on senior night.

shite happens. hind sights 20/20. if people want bert gone for making questionable decisions that cost us the game, news flash, that won't go away if we change coaches.

love the direction our program is going. the future looks bright

Questionable calls won us the OM game two weeks ago. You win some, you lose some.

Amen.

I just can't get too upset about last night. We knew damn well our pass d was suspect at best going into the game. Yes, it needs to improve drastically but it's not like it was a shocking revelation in the slightest.

We started the year sucking balls and weren't playing for a playoff spot.

We lost by one point and our offense was utterly fantastic. (Feel way worse for them than I do for myself.)

No, I will not accept shitting the bed early in the season going forward but this game wasn't like that, we were actually playing a good team.

I was upset last night by the field goal but that's sports. You win some, you lose some.

What are people questioning?

4th and 1 pass? Petrino did crap like that and our fan base thought he was an offensive guru.

Burning clock and the FG? Our ONLY line of defense was to make them use their TOs and have them get the ball with 0:40 left. Passes kill the clock when incomplete. Out routes caught and go out of bounds kills the clock. It was a 20 yard field goal. That just a bit longer than an extra point.

Bert did alright by me. No complaints. He knew the defense was playing horrible. His ONLY defense at the end of the game was to use as much time as possible.

The narrative is much different if we score with 1:35 left and State has all their timeouts...."Why didn't Bert run the ball and kill clock and make State use all their TOs"

Bitching about it and wanting him fired are two different things. He is our best option. The pinnacle of what we can hope for. Perhaps one day we can aspire to finish 2nd in the west and not have the worst D in the conference. I mean what's the difference between 10-2 or 7-5? It's not like either is going to get you a NC. We are Arkansas. We are who they say we are. It's just some of us can't quite accept that and allow ourselves to hope for just a little bit more only to kick in the nuts by reality. We get pissed and vent but always come back for more. I wish the frick I could be "retard happy" despite our failures and incompetence, but I can't.
