I know they tend to have sheets with the plays on them among other things. On LSU's first or second punt of the game, a sheet of paper flew from our sideline and ended up near the LSU sideline. As soon as the play was over, someone on the LSU staff ran over and picked it up. Do we have unlaminated 8 1/2" X 11" pieces of paper that could potentially give away the game plan, plays, tips that could give away what we're trying to do?

Whatever it was obviously didn't help them, but it was something we talked about a bit during the game.

I doubt there is much paper amongst staff anymore. No one was worried that it blew across the field. Media types may have paper for note scratching. Coaches have laminated cards and I-Pads now.

The GA/trainer that retrieved it from the field showed it to Peveto who looked at it for about 30 seconds handed it back then motioned towards Frank Wilson who was talking with several players. The GA-trainer waited about 2-3 minutes for Wilson to finish talking then handed it to him. Wilson looked at for about a minute or two - front and back then spoke to the guy that retrieved it. He must have asked where he got it because he pointed out to the field where he retrieved it. Wilson folded it up and put it in his pocket.

I don't think it was laminated, because it didn't fold like it was. However, watching the game replay when it blew across the screen it appeared so.

I watched all this happen. Its not a big deal. Protect your stuff if you don't want others to know it.

Like you said, it obviously didn't help them.

You can however plant the seed that it was some recruiting violation info and Wilson will turn it in to the NCAA. Alabama will get the death penalty and forfeit the game. As a bonus this will not result in a negative stat game for LF and the LSU Tigers, so his streak of 100 yard games is still intact.

That was sweet no? Watched again when we got home last night. Wife always ask when I come to bed, "did we win?"

I watched some of it last night too. Mostly the second half. A good friend of mine who leads a Tuesday night Bible Study I am part of is a former NFL and college football coach. Now retired. Guess who two of his good friends are who are still coaching.

Did you guess? Wait...............are you close?

Cam Cameron the OC at LSU and Kevin Steele the DC at LSU. We talked this AM. His comment was that LSU is going to have to be more creative on offense as they currently play right into Bama's strengths. I am not sure that is any surprise to anyone as I think LSU thought they could line up and beat Bama man to man in the trenches. That obviously backfired.

Les has been like that since '11. Showed up in NO with exactly the same plan as the game in Ttown. I put that on him rather than the coordinators.
