What gives MSU? Mullen is a good coach. Better than Freeze as he isn't a massive dumbass in late game decision making. He seems to understand that power running and defense is important to winning games unlike someone like Sumlin. He can actually recruit and develop a QB first hand unlike Gustav who has to find ready made JUCO or transfer QBs. Why has he yet to get off the snyde vs Nick with so many more tries?

Hell it took Mullen 6 tries to top Sly Croom's best point total against a Saban led Alabama team.

Why has the MSU offense not broken through against Bama when supposedly its taylor made to give them fits?

The above post is a subtle reminder, that for as good as Saban is...

One day, he was out-coached by Sylvester Croom.

John Parker Wilson thew a 103 pick six on the goal line up 9-3 in the final seconds of the first half and Bama was coming off a soul crushing defeat to LSU. He can get a pass on that one.

More evidence that only Bama beats Bama.

Good question. They always seem to be close games. The talent gap is obvious between the teams. But they are closer to the Gumps on the DL than any other team. But maybe Saban has figured out that style of run-based offense. He has seen it every year since 2008.

Bama is built to stop the run. Looks like Miss St is passing the ball more this season. If they will ever do it, then this is the year with Dax.

Because Mullen's version of the spread has always relied on the power running game, which has always played to Bama's strength (front 7).

This year we have no power running game because our OL is below average and the good RBs we have are young. Hopefully Mullen doesn't even try to run this weekend. Let Dak throw it up 60 times and hit you with some designed Dak runs. That will be our only chance of winning.

However the game turns out, it is going to be crazy on campus this weekend. I can't wait...

I don't think it's the spread or HUNH that beats people, you have to have really special talent to succeed with it. Like a Cam, Manziel/Evans, Marshall/Mason.

I guess he wasn't UF's OC in 2008.

Well, he would really be doing us a favor if he beat them this year so hopefully he figures it out.
